There is no need to explain why this section was created within the site. Every person in this world, regardless of who, what or
where they are has either family or friends that they hold dear to them. Death, being a certainty, will at times rise to take a loved
one. Those left behind, be they Christian, Muslim or Atheist will find a way in their hearts to memorialize the one they lost.
Memorials come in all shapes and sizes. The earth is scattered with headstones, each of which was erected to remember or honor
the person that lies below. Shrines, plaques and statues can be found in every city in every part of the world. These shrines were
of course built as a memorial; to honor and remember the person or persons depicted. Perhaps in our lifestyle, as anglers or if you
will, "Fishermen" we are most familiar with "Fishermans Memorials" such as those found along either coast. The most famous of
these memorials is perhaps located in Gloucester Maine.
Now then, it is my great honor to be able to bring to this world and to you just one more small memorial. My friends name does not
grace a town by way of a bronze statue nor is it engraved on a plaque attached to a park bench. His name does not appear among
those lost at sea on a coastal memorial. The name Joe Walker, as remembrance, appears in only one small place; that being a
headstone in a Veterans cemetery. With that thought in mind this memorial will honor not only my friend but your loved ones as
well. This will be a place in which you may place remembrance and honor and immortalize the one you love.
WANTED If you live in a town or city, perhaps coastal, that does have a Fishermans Memorial I would love to include it within this section. I am looking for clear, sharp photos of the memorial and photos of the names. You can email the photos and the information regarding the memorials location to pappy@anamericanangler.com Thank You Pappy
